September 23, 2025 – It has been a successful summer for the Leatherdale Farms horses in training with Canadian Grand Prix riders, Diane Creech and Vanessa Creech-Terauds.

Julius, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Lousie Leatherdale, claimed an Intermediaire II Championship title during the 2025 Caledon Dressage at Angelstone – August.

Helmi, a 14-year-old Hanoverian mare owned and bred by Louise Leatherdale, impressed in the Open Small Tour, earning the Reserve Championship with rider Vanessa Creech-Teraud during the 2025 Caledon Dressage at Angelstone – August.

Earlier this summer, Helmi made her Prix St. Georges debut claiming a second place finish with a score of over 68%, and in their second outing in July she scored over 70%. The duo also made their debut in the Intermediate I at the same show, earning nearly 69% and securing the Reserve Championship title in the Open Small Tour division.

Louise Leatherdale’s 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding, Daniel L captured the spotlight in the FEI Big Tour Open Division, taking home the Championship title at the 2025 Caledon Dressage at Angelstone – August with Creech-Terauds.

Daniel L’s Championship title comes on the feels of his personal best in a Grand Prix Special with a score of 68+% in June.

Leatherdale Farms’ Hanoverian mare Duett made her Fourth Level debut at the end of August, scoring an impressive 70%, signaling a bright future as she advances up the levels with rider, Creech-Terauds. The young mare went on to score a 69.7% in her second show at fourth level.

The 6-year-old made her show debut this winter at the 2025 Adequan Global Dressage Festival. She scored a season-high personal best of 72.631% in their Week 12 USEF Third Level Test.

The entire team is taking a short break to rest and recover from a summer of training and showing and will set their sights on gearing up for the Florida winter circuit.
