The Results Are in : Wellington FEI Nations Cup

Wellington, Fla – Feb. 25, 2023 – Over the past 3 days, six countries went head to head in the first of seven CDIO3* Nations Cup events. In this unique competition, Big Tour and Small Tour combinations come together to represent their flag as one team containing up to 4 members. Big Tour combinations compete in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special while Small Tour athletes ride the Prix Saint Georges and Intermediate I. Grand Prix combinations receive an additional 1.5% bonus to their score. Each rider competes in their respective test, where results are then added together to determine who will take home the gold. A drop score is calculated into the results on teams with three or more riders – making it each team’s top 3 scores from day 1 and day 2 added together to create a final standing. Alongside the six countries being represented in the Senior Nations Cup, three Under 25 teams also competed. For team rankings, two American teams and Team Canada battled for the gold while riding the Intermediate II on Thursday, February 23. The Under 25 Grand Prix on Saturday, February 25 placed the riders individually. 

To finish the weekend, each rider performed their freestyle to determine individual placings, which included a second individual ranking for the U25 combinations.
