For over 20 years, Stephanie Danhakl has made her mark at the National Horse Show, demonstrating that passion and dedication know no bounds in first the junior and then amateur-owner divisions. Her impressive track record showcases not only her talent but also her unwavering commitment to the sport.
“I love the tradition of this sport, there is something so special about The National Horse Show and just to come here, I feel like we’re carrying on the tradition and I love to be a part of that. Being a new mom makes it difficult for me to keep up with everything, so I try to savor every moment that I get to be here with my horses, and I always go home happy, even when it doesn’t go as planned.”
Danhakl not only rides as a competitive amateur but also is dedicated to completing her dissertation amidst renovating a home and raising two young children. Her ability to juggle these responsibilities shows her commitment and passion, making her journey all the more inspiring.
“I’ve always been an animal person. I have high standards for myself in everything and I have had to give myself a little more grace. I think that is one of the biggest things that has allowed me to succeed in this sport because I am so hard on myself.”
