Jennifer Burger grew up in Buffalo, New York, and is a lifelong equestrian. After attending Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia, she went on to work on her masters degree at the University of Berkeley and California College of Arts. Burger then started her own advertising agency where she worked to gain vast experience in marketing, advertising and public relations. She has also held various positions with non-profit organizations, such as therapeutic riding centers, schools, Buffalo Equestrian Center, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) Foundation and US Equestrian.
In addition to her role as Chief Executive Officer at Phelps Media Group, Burger is President of the National Horse Show, a position that was passed down by Mason Phelps, and co-founder of the Brandywine Horse Show series with Louise Serio. She also serves on boards for the Devon Horse Show, USET Foundation Advisory Committee and Unity of the Palm Beaches.
