Week 5 of the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), sponsored by Fidelity Investments®, delivered thrilling competition across both jumper and hunter disciplines. Nicola Philippaerts continued his winning streak with a second consecutive victory in the Adequan® WEF Challenge Cup, while Geoffrey Hesslink and Replica secured the Almased 3’ Green Hunter championship as anticipation for WCHR Week builds.
The $100,000 Kristen Baran Team Hunter Exhibition, benefiting the Neil S. Hirsch Boys & Girls Club of Wellington, brought 19 teams under the lights Friday evening, with Nick Haness, Ashley Weiman, and Wyatt Rofey emerging victorious. During Saturday Night Lights, Kent Farrington and Greya stole the show with a spectacular five-star victory in the $385,000 Fidelity Investments® Grand Prix. To finish the week, we watched Marilyn Little triumph aboard Olympic Van de Noordheuvel in the $62,500 1/ST CSI2* Grand Prix.
As WEF reaches its halfway mark, the excitement continues into Week 6, presented by IDA Development, featuring WCHR hunter competition at Wellington International and CSI3* action at Equestrian Village. |
