Temecula, Ca. – April 22, 2021 – Competition was fast and fierce Thursday afternoon as 37 horse-and-rider combos left nothing on the table in hopes of claiming the largest piece of the prize in the $10,000 1.40m Speed Classic during Temecula Valley National Premier 1. Several familiar faces made their way into the Grand Prix Arena, and with only one shot at redemption, the riders gave it their all. Ultimately, it was Susan Artes and California Sunshine who separated themselves from the rest of the pack taking home the win by a mile.
Coveted High Performance Hunter Championship Awarded to Jamie Sailor and Rainier
Hunter riders flocked to the Grand Hunter Arena at Galway Downs Thursday, April 22 for their final chance to show off before the crowning of each division’s respective champions. After delivering solid performances in Wednesday’s initial showings, followed by stellar rounds Thursday morning, it was Jamie Sailor and Rainier who were awarded the coveted title of champion. Tricolors were also awarded to Jamie Taylor riding Ever So Often in the Green 3’6” Hunter division, as well as the Green Conformation Hunters where Leslie Steele and Aventus would rise to the occasion.
