Matt Archer and Luigi VD Bisschop Dominate Field of Competitors to Take the Win in the $50,000 Grand Prix sponsored by Interactive Mortgage at Nilforushan Equisport Events’ Temecula Valley National II
Temecula, Calif. – May 28, 2022 – Spectators traveled from all over the country Saturday evening to watch 31 horse-and-athlete pairs contest for the win to wrap up competition at Nilforushan Equisport Events’ Temecula Valley National II. Saturday night’s $50,000 Grand Prix sponsored by Interactive Mortgage is the final Grand Prix qualifier for the National Equestrian Tournament. Observers packed the grandstands, ringside tent and VIP to watch horse-and-athlete combinations representing seven nations try their hand at Guilherme Jorge’s (BRA) technical 13-obstacle track. The field saw numerous professional and amateur riders, as well as multiple promising junior athletes. Ultimately it was professional rider Matt Archer (USA) and Luigi VD Bisschop that stood atop the podium after a thrilling 6-horse jump off.

Temecula, Calif. – May 27, 2022 – Hard-hitting international competition took a light-hearted break as riders of all different ages and levels took to the Grand Prix Arena at Nilforushan Equisport Events’ Temecula Valley National II for the fun, feature class of the evening, the $10,000 in the Against the Clock 1.20m, sponsored by Jett Martin Equine Spa. 25 horse-and-athlete combinations tried their hand at Guiherme Jorge’s (BRA) 10-obstacle course in an attempt to collect the most points to top the leaderboard and claim the victory. In the end, it was Joie Gatlin and Inara S Z who racked up the most points of the evening taking the blue ribbon.

The $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby sponsored by South Coast Winery set an elegant tone for hunter competition to continue through the weekend. It was a very special morning full of joyful smiles as Karli Schroeder and Get Rowdy captured their first ever International Derby win together.

Temecula, Calif. – May 28, 2022 – Bows and braids made their way into the Hunter 3 ring Saturday morning for the first day of division competition in the Small Pony 2’3” Hunter at Nilforushan Equisport Events’ Temecula Valley National II. Six small ponies took turns taking center stage, with Kathryn Padilla and Heavenly Patch of Blue earning the spotlight at the end of the competition.
