Neuwirth and Guess Who posted a pair of 90’s to win both the Older A/O Handy and Stake classes today on their way to capturing the Older Amateur Owner 3’6″ Hunter Championship, Overall Grand Amateur Owner 3’6″ Hunter Championship and Leading Amateur Owner 3’6″ Hunter Rider titles. |

The Sambalino Awar CARISTO The Sambalino Award is awarded each year to the Amateur Owner Hunter 3’6″ horse, who, in the opinion of the judges, best exemplifies the classic hunter horse in movement, jumping style, and presence. Caristo, owned and ridden by John Ingram, added his name to The Sambalino Perpetual Trophy this year after earning Reserve Championship Honors in the Older Amateur Owner Hunters. |

Alex Matz and Dorothy Matz’s Cashew CR posted a time of 34.71 seconds that could not be beat to take the win in tonight’s $145,100 Idle Dice Open Jumper Stake, sponsored by Meridian Bank. Two seconds behind Matz, and taking second for the second time this week it was Lillie Keenan and Chansonette Farm, LLC’s Kick On with a time of 36.70. Rounding out the top three of an all American podium tonight with a little bit of sibling rivalry was Lucy Matz aboard Fyolieta, the pair went clear in 38.03. |

About the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair: Started in 1896, The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair is the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed horse show in North America and draws in top competitors from around the world. With the grandeur of Philadelphia’s historic Main Line as its backdrop, the show continues to reflect the local traditions and lifestyles of the community. The event is run by more than 2,000 volunteers and offers a variety of boutique shops in miniature cottages, amusement rides and games for kids, multiple dining options, and live entertainment. Proceeds support The Bryn Mawr Hospital. The Devon Horse Show Foundation is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit. The organization is operated to perform the charitable and educational purposes of The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, Inc. It also supports the maintenance and improvement of the historic Devon Horse Show grounds to ensure its position as one of the premier equestrian event facilities in the world. |
