Devon, Pa. – August 11, 2017 – The 2017 Devon Fall Classic, a budding tradition in its own right, will transform the beautiful Devon Horse Show Grounds from Thursday, September 14 through Sunday, September 17. Returning for its sixth year, the Devon Fall Classic benefits the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that maintains the historic venue.
Competition begins promptly at 8am each morning in the Dixon Oval, except Saturday, which starts at 7:30am. Take in the beautiful scenery and autumn air between classes and enjoy the Devon Fall Festival, featuring an array of booths in Vendor Village, great food, live music and rides.
Highlighting this year’s event on Thursday will be the $5,000 Open Jumper Welcome Stake followed by the $5,000 Speed Stake on Friday evening. Saturday evening begins with the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Classic for the top Junior and Amateur-Owner Jumper riders at 7pm. Immediately following is the highly anticipated $25,000 Devon Fall Classic Grand Prix, dedicated to Frank Chapot.
Throughout the four days, exhibitors have many opportunities to compete in jumper classes including Open Jumpers, Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumpers, Young Jumpers, Children’s and Adult Amateur Jumpers, and Pony Jumpers divisions.

At the Devon Fall Classic there is always something to do with a full calendar of daily events for the entire family. Kick off the festivities at the Opening Night celebration with live entertainment in the Picnic Grove from 7-10pm. Bring the dogs along Friday night for their version of Yappy Hour, a ticketed tastings event for both people and pups. Saturday is the Ladies Who Brunch event with champagne in the Picnic Grove followed by a live Jazz Brunch on Sunday afternoon.
