Irish Riverdancers, Irish Pub, Irish Fare, DJ Adam Lipson & Charity Casino Under the Stars Confirms a Remarkable Night of ‘Fun”draising Thursday, March 17
In celebration of St. Paddy’s Day, Brooke USA’s Sunset Polo® & White Party is going Irish on Thursday, March 17, 6 – 11 p.m., at the Wellington National Golf Club.
For this year only, the coveted 7-year running event brings a touch of Ireland to Wellington with Brooke USA’s White Party Goes Green. The event marks the return, after the pandemic, of friends and supporters who have been a part of Brooke USA Foundation (Brooke USA) since it first came to Wellington in 2016. Since inception, the annual Brooke USA event in Wellington has raised close to $2.5 million to alleviate the suffering of working horses, donkeys and mules and the people they serve in vulnerable communities across the globe – from Africa and Asia to Latin America and right here in the United States.
Upon arriving at the event, guests will be greeted with Irish music and dance, courtesy of the award-winning Kelly Academy of Irish Dance. Under the direction of Caitlin Kelly who placed in the top 10 at the 2010 Oireachtas championship and was a member of four second place Oireachtas teams, dancers of all ages will perform to traditional and contemporary styles of Irish dance. Wowing audiences all over the world, Riverdance features Irish stepdance, a style of dance characterized by a stiff upper body and quick foot movements, combined with energetic movement and elaborate costumes. They will also have the opportunity to take photos and feed treats to miniature horses and donkeys, brought to the event by the generosity of Millar Brooke South (Kelly and Jonathon Millar & Chris Soleau).
After entering the main gate, the first view will be of the grand patio where guests, fittingly, will test the luck of the Irish in the extravagant outdoor casino. Guests will also have the opportunity to join an exclusive High Stakes Poker Tournament for only a $50 buy-in to play. This tournament is limited to only 50 players, and will take place from 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Buy your poker tournament ticket here.
Throughout the evening, guests will experience the sights and sounds of a real Las Vegas-style casino as players roar with every roll of the dice at the craps table. Players can also try a hand at outhustling the blackjack dealer while sipping on Irish-themed drinks, including a Signature Welcome Drink by Tito’s Vodka, the “Pot of Copper” Mule. The roulette tables are sure to be popular as participants decide on what to bet only moments before the dealer flicks the ball into the spinning wheel, or they can even take a chance at the slot machines. A staple at Brooke USA’s event, since inception, is world-class DJ Adam Lipson who is known for his outstanding performances in the most elite places in Europe and across the United States, including Las Vegas, Palm Beach, Miami, New York City and The Hamptons. He has also performed at West Pam Beach’s SunFest, The Breakers, Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, W Hotel, Ocean Drive, and the International Polo Club, which are just some of the venues where Adam has entertained crowds. Adam’s ability to tailor his music to the tastes of the crowd is what sets him apart. Adam is known to get any party going and with the beautiful pool and outdoor casino at the Wellington National, he will certainly make the night unforgettable.
For the sports fans, TV screens in the covered tent will showcase the first round of the NCAA men’s college basketball tournament March Madness, starting at 6 p.m. on CBS. Palates will also be pleased as guests savor traditional Irish fare, such as fish and chips, bangers and mash, and corn beef and cabbage. And, to boot, an Irish Pub, right on the premises, will feature an array of Irish cocktails and beers.
