Traverse City, Mich. – June 5, 2020 – With the first set of Traverse City Horse Show dates set to begin June 17, the opening day for the Traverse City Spring Horse Show (TCS), presented by Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel, riders will soon have a chance to begin collecting prize money at one of the first major horse shows since the winter season. Adding another level of excitement and incentive to an already full 11 weeks of riding, all of which are FEI-rated, CaptiveOne Advisors, LLC, has generously spearheaded the CaptiveOne Advisors $30,000 Leading Jumper Rider Bonus, which will be awarded to one lucky rider following the conclusion of the $213,300 CaptiveOne American Gold Cup Grand Prix CSI4* on September 13.
The CaptiveOne Advisors Leading Jumper Rider Bonus will be awarded to the rider who accumulates the most points in competitions $25,000 or more in prize money over the course of 11 weeks of riding in Traverse City. Competitors will receive their first chances during both weeks of TCS, both rated as CSI2*, followed by the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF), presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, LLC, from which includes four back-to-back weeks at the CSI2* distinction and ends with two weeks of CSI3* competition. The Traverse City Fall Horse Show, presented by Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel, will be a CSI2*, and the calendar will culminate with the American Gold Cup (AGC), presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, LLC, and featuring the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament (SOJT), with a week of CSI2* riding and finally finishing at a CSI4* rating.
In 2019, Canada’s Jim Ifko earned grand finale prize following a series of strong performances that culminated with a victory in the $133,700 CaptiveOne Advisors Great Lakes Grand Prix CSI3*, propelling him to the top of the leaderboard following the final show jumping class of the GLEF season.
2020 marks CaptiveOne’s return to Flintfields Horse Park following a fruitful partnership for both sides during 2019, the debut year of the relationship when CaptiveOne was the presenting sponsor of GLEF and AGC, with the latter held in New York. This season, the captive insurance management industry leader will be back in Traverse City once again as the presenting sponsor of GLEF as well the fall dates containing the AGC and the SOJT. In addition to the Rider Bonus, CaptiveOne is generously sponsoring the Traverse City Horse Show calendar in a number of other ways, including as the title sponsor for both the $137,000 Grand Prix CSI3*, which will be the grand finale of GLEF Week VI, and the $213,300 CaptiveOne American Gold Cup Grand Prix CSI4* during the fall dates.
