CaptiveOne Named Presenting Sponsor of 2019 Great Lakes Equestrian Festival

NEW $25,000 Rider Bonus Offered to
Open Jumper 1.45m and Above Classes!
Traverse City, Mich. – May 30, 2019 – The Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF) is proud to announce CaptiveOne Advisors, LLC, an industry leader in captive insurance company management, as the Presenting Sponsor for its 2019 summer circuit, which takes place at the Flintfields Horse Park in Williamsburg, Michigan, July 3-Aug. 11. As one of the most esteemed competitions in the United States, GLEF holds a permanent position on many top equestrian athletes’ yearly summer travel schedules. Six consecutive weeks of fun in the sun set along the lush greenery and tranquil views of Lake Michigan’s Grand Traverse Bay are made possible thanks to title sponsors like CaptiveOne.
In addition to its presenting sponsorship of GLEF, CaptiveOne is thrilled to support the festival as Title Sponsor of the $133,700 CaptiveOne Grand Prix CSI3*, which will take place during the sixth week of the circuit in Michigan. GLEF is also excited to introduce CaptiveOne as the Title Sponsor of the $25,000 Rider Bonus, an exciting new opportunity offered to the Open Jumper 1.45m and above classes and it is cumulative based on prize money earned over the six weeks of competition.

After many improvements to the facility in 2018, GLEF has continued its dedication to growing and improving in 2019. With the return of many of its highlight events, such as Equitation Tuesdays, World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) week, the $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, as well as two FEI CSI2* and two FEI CSI3* grand prix events, exhibitors and spectators alike will enjoy the family friendly atmosphere full of excitement and entertainment during the 2019 GLEF.

As part of its continued commitment to exhibitors, GLEF is working with CaptiveOne to develop an innovative stabling protection plan for horses stabled at its facility during the 2020 event. While on the show grounds, and unless a horse owner opts out, every horse’s life will be protected under GLEF‘s plan which is designed to provide a supplemental reimbursement to exhibitors of certain major medical expenses and entry fees should a covered event occurs on site. This unique initiative is subject to limitations.

GLEF is thrilled that CaptiveOne has signed on as presenting sponsor of our festival, which is celebrating our fifth summer season in the Traverse City area,” said GLEF show organizer Matt Morrissey of Morrissey Management Group. “Wayne Jenkins and his team at CaptiveOne are committed to bringing both the six-week festival, as well as the new Rider Bonus, to new levels and we look forward to continued success together in the future with our three year partnership.”

CaptiveOne offers unprecedented supplemental equine and agricultural insurance opportunities for individuals, businesses and equestrian events of all sizes. Already in 2019, CaptiveOne has gained recognition as a sponsor for the highly regarded Winter Equestrian Festival, Adequan® Global Dressage Festival, U.S. Open Polo Championships. Its continued support and partnership of elite equestrian events has made CaptiveOne a well- recognized name within the community, pairing perfectly with the incredible event that is GLEF.
