Devon, Pa. – January 3, 2020 – The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair is wishing everyone a happy new year and is thrilled to be kicking off 2020. They are celebrating their top four accomplishments of 2019 as they beginning preparing for the 2020 horse show, schedule for May 21-31.
1. The Devon Horse and Country Fair has paid off its $2 million mortgage and is entering 2020 debt-free!
2. Last year, The Devon Horse and Country Fair introduced some very popular new programming – The Kentucky Oaks Party to support our Young Friends initiative and Devon After Hours for a limited number of patrons on our busiest nights. Plus, with the return of the Devon Fall Classic, they saw a record number of entries this year and expect the event to continue to grow.
3. The Devon Horse and Country Fair renewed its $2 million pledge to Bryn Mawr Hospital, and in December they presented a check for $375,000 to support the expansion of the hospital’s Behavioral Health Unit.
4. The Devon Horse and Country Fair has spent $385,000 on infrastructure improvements, including barn and roof renovations, and the creation of the new Exhibitor Lounge, which features A/C and space for exhibitors to entertain. They also increased prize money by $40,000.
