Elli Yeager and Mimi Gochman Dominate Day One Equitation at Devon Horse Show

Devon, Pa. – May 23, 2019 – The highly anticipated 2019 Devon Horse Show and Country Fair kicked off on Thursday morning with equitation competition taking center stage in the iconic Dixon Oval. Leading junior riders took to the ring to compete in the Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search 3*, sponsored by Lugano Diamonds, which was split into two competitive sections. After a total of 53 horse-and-rider combinations, it was Elli Yeager and Mimi Gochman who rode to victory in each of their respective sections.

Caelinn Leahy and Dymendy Debut at Devon with Win in Speed Leg of Junior Jumper Championship

The first event of the Junior Jumper championship saw 23 young riders and their mounts vie for top honors in the $3,750 Junior Jumper speed class, sponsored by Land Services USA, Inc., to wrap-up competition in the Dixon Oval on the opening day of the 2019 Devon Horse Show and Country Fair. In her debut at the historic event, 17-year-old Caelinn Leahy and Steve Schaefer’s Dymendy, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare, emerged victorious on Thursday, earning the Flight Cup Perpetual Trophy after blazing around the one-round course, designed by Brazil’s Guilherme Jorge, in 60.239 seconds.
