The EQUUS Foundation will be renewing its association with the Fairfield County Hunt Club June Benefit Horse Show, June 22-26, 2021, with the opportunity for donors to sponsor horse show classes in addition to two new opportunities for participation.
“We are excited to announce that we will hold our second Stepping Out for America’s Horses campaign in association with the Fairfield show thanks to presenting sponsor, Fairfield Equine Associates,” said Lynn Coakley, President, EQUUS Foundation. In addition, proceeds from a new horse show class will directly benefit the EQUUS Foundation. The $1,000 EQUUS Foundation Charity Team Challenge presented by Corro on Friday afternoon, June 25, will feature two-member jumper teams competing at two different heights (1.0m and 1.20m).
Thanks to Corro’s sponsorship of the prize money, the EQUUS Foundation will receive 100% of class entry fees of $100 per team member. Prize money will be paid to the 1st-3rd place winners at $450, $300, and $250 with ribbons through 6th place. Winners will also receive gift cards for Corro horse-related products and gift cards and goody bags from Your Horse Treats.
To be eligible, the horse or rider must have competed in at least two jumper classes prior to the start of the class. The team member competing at the 1.0m height may only be a junior or amateur. The team member competing at the 1.20m height maybe a junior, amateur or professional.
Informed giving has never been more important. The EQUUS Foundation ensures that your donor dollars are invested in the most effective programs that are increasing adoptions of at-risk horses, providing a safe haven for aged horses, and increasing opportunities for all people to engage and partner with horses in new & innovative ways. Only equine charities that attain the EQUUS Foundation Guardian designation by undergoing a rigorous review of their horse care practices are eligible for financial support from the EQUUS Foundation.
“The EQUUS Foundation is pleased to recognize the Fairfield County Hunt Club June Benefit Horse Show as an EQUUS Foundation Horse Show Partner – a designation reserved for competitions that have set themselves apart by helping to promote the mission and charitable efforts of the EQUUS Foundation on behalf of horse welfare,” said Coakley. “We are thrilled to be able to enjoy the show in person this year!”
The Fairfield Stepping Out Campaign will directly benefit the horses of EQUUS Foundation Guardian charities in Northeast Region, including the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
