Get Ready for Even More Prize Money at 50th American Gold Cup Thanks to FEI Class Addition

Traverse City, Mich. – Aug. 6, 2020 – Traverse City Horse Shows is pleased to report that a new FEI class has been added to the schedule for the American Gold Cup, presented by CaptiveOne Advisors LLC, thanks to the incredible support of exhibitors eager for the event. Instead of the $1,000 1.40m CSI2* class Saturday, Sept. 5, the management team has decided to up the ante by replacing it with the $36,600 Speed Classic CSI2* on Thursday, Sept. 3, in order to offer jumper riders yet another shot at ample prize money, pending FEI approval.

Three back-to-back weeks of fall dates will begin at Flintfields Horse Park with the Traverse City Fall Horse Show, presented by Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel, from Aug. 26 – 30. The second week of the competition, boasting a CSI4* distinction, will take place Sept. 9 – 13, concluding 11 weeks of equestrian action in Traverse City.

Riders will have a shot at more prize money thanks to the new Thursday class.
