Established in 2017 by Jim and Kristen Hamel, the Hamel Family Foundation is committed to supporting organizations that are committed to advancing the education, health and well-being of individuals that are not able to do this on their own accord.
“We welcome everyone to explore the inaugural Hamel Family Foundation website. Here we have outlined our non-profit initiatives and showcased the unique ways that we combine our life passions and commitment to humanity through on-going education and service,” said Kristen Hamel, co-founder of the Hamel Family Foundation. “The Hamel family hopes that this new site provides some insight into who we are and what we do, as well as opening the doors to communication with anyone that may be interested in our organization.”
The modern and user-friendly website will serve as a harbor for individuals to follow the foundation’s philanthropic efforts, as well as become familiar with the Hamel Family. Featured on the “About” page of the website, visitors will see a detailed description of the foundation and a list of organizations the foundation has provided financial support to, all of which have missions that support the education and well-being of disadvantaged children and their families through scholarship opportunities and extracurricular programs, promote animal care, protection and placement with supportive caregivers, and focus on other organizations in local communities or within activities the board is actively involved with.
On “The Family” page, viewers will find personalized biographies of each member of the Hamel Family. Each biography illustrates their academic and professional background, their hobbies or passions and how they personally interact with the foundation.
The “News” section of the website will provide updates on the foundation’s recent ventures. For example, visitors can read about the $25,000 Hamel Family Scholarship for Further Education, which the Hamel Family Foundation recently collaborated on with the USHJA Foundation.
For those that are interested in connecting with the Foundation, the “Contact” page of the website provides a simple form that can be filled out and submitted.
