Also meant to celebrate women and their accomplishments, Ponies & Pearls will provide guests with an amazing view of the polo game and access to the extravagant Sunday buffet with an open wine and champagne bar. Guests will also enjoy a silent auction, partake in a hat contest (so don your best hat!), and enjoy storytelling from the field by Fredred Valdivia, Director of Brooke Latin America & Caribbean, sponsored by American Stalls.
Other sponsors include Mrs. Gill Johnston and Valley Bank with Welcome to the Party and Raise Your Glass sponsorships, respectively. Ponies & Pearls Golden Goal sponsors include Lee Ann Ingram, while Silver Goal sponsors include Pegasus Foundation and OnCourse Consignment.
Ponies & Pearls, presented by Celebrity Cruises & Hotels at Sea was originally conceptualized by equestrian and marketing guru, Katie Roth, Founding Chair of the Brooke USA Aiken Regional Advisory Council, and a member of the nonprofit’s Board of Directors. After two successful years in Aiken, the Wellington debut is chaired by Bair, Johnston and Spoden with Brooke USA Ambassador Dawn Jones acting as Honorary Chair. The esteemed event committee consists of Hope Arellano, John Barlett, Hillary Dobbs, LeeAnn Ingram, Elizabeth Iorio, Emily Marschok, Ginny Orthwein, Lynn O’Connor, Tami Salinas-Bentley, Susan Shelly, Lydia Sudick and Aimee Waters, and is sure to entertain guests – polo aficionados and food connoisseurs alike.
“Ponies & Pearls is an exciting event that commemorates the synergies of women competing in the tough sport of polo along with honoring the many programs Brooke USA Foundation has developed to help women with their working horses, donkeys and mules all over the world,” said Emily, Dulin, Chief Executive Officer of Brooke USA.
Beginning at 1:00 PM, guests will enjoy a pre-game meet-and-greet and will view many of the coveted silent auction items. Promptly at 2:00 PM, the buffet will open, and the polo game will begin. Individual tickets are $250 per person. All proceeds will benefit the Brooke USA Foundation.
