Devon, Pa. – Aug. 12, 2022 – The 2022 Devon Fall Classic, presented by Bryn Mawr Hospital, is set to return to the historic Devon Horse Show Grounds from Wednesday, September 14 through Sunday, September 18, 2022. The management team is pleased to announce that Leadline will once again be highlighted at this year’s competition. One of the most exciting attractions for the area’s youngest aspiring athletes, entries are now open. Focused on being a family-friendly event for everyone to enjoy in 2022, the Devon Fall Classic will feature the Leadline competition on Saturday, September 17 after 1pm in the Dixon Oval. Definitely the cutest class of the show, these young equestrians are always a fan favorite to cheer on.
Saturday at the Fall Classic is for the family! From 12pm – 2pm a pop up children’s crafts station will be open in the Pavilion. After craft time be sure to visit the Midway for exciting carnival rides, treats and games. Devon Fall Classic adventures for the little ones wrap up on Sunday, September 18 when Pony rides will be available for kids who dream of one day competing in the Dixon Oval themselves. There will be something for everyone in the family to enjoy while watching some of the nation’s top show jumping athletes compete in the Dixon Oval.
High powered equestrian competition is the highlight of every evening at the Fall Classic. Thursday evening, the Dixon Oval will host the $5,000 Open Jumper Welcome Stake, and the $5,000 Speed Stake will take place Friday evening. Saturday evening events will feature the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic. The night concludes with the highly anticipated $25,000 Devon Fall Classic Grand Prix.
Returning for its ninth year, the Devon Fall Classic benefits the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that allows the historic venue the support it needs to continue improvements to the showgrounds. Recent improvements include new footing in all three rings, barn and stall renovations, as well as improvements in vendor areas.
