Nilforushan Equisport Events Brings World-Class Entertainment to Horse Showing

Temecula, Calif. – Feb. 27, 2018 – More than simply a horse show, the upcoming Temecula Valley National Horse Show series will blend the best that equestrian sport and entertainment has to offer. In addition to offering affordable competition options at the legendary Galway Downs in the California hills, Nilforushan Equisport Events’ three-week circuit will feature high-profile concerts, evening films and fine dining to create a destination horse show of the highest order. With performers such as Skye Dee Miles, Malik Pointer, Tru Collins and Aaron Turner as a few of the headliners, the Temecula Valley National Horse Shows, held in late April through early June 2018, are slated to be the prime locales for crowds beyond just equestrians.

“Our goal is to revive the California horse show scene and build this series into one that competitors and fans look forward to all year,” said Ali Nilforushan, co-founder of Nilforushan Equisport Events. “We aim for our horse shows to be second to none, and more than that, we would love to draw an audience for the entertainment and other social events. You don’t have to ride horses to come here and have a memorable experience.”

Though more acts and events will be announced, the initial line-up of talent is sure to please.

Skye Dee Miles:
Skye Dee Miles has been dazzling audiences for over 15 years. Her irrepressible vocals, high energy shows, musical versatility, humor, impeccable acting chops and overall brilliance in connecting with an audience have made her one of the most sought after performers on the West Coast and garnered her several music awards. Skye lit up the stage in the longest running musical revue in history called Beach Blanket Babylon in San Francisco, and later starred in Menopause the Musical in Las Vegas. She was also lead vocalist in a rock and soul band called Skye and UniverSoul Sounds. Far from a cookie cutter entertainer, the actress, vocalist, writer, and producer has become somewhat of a trailblazer in the areas of image, repertoire, and her overall approach to show business.

Malik Pointer:
Malik Pointer is an amazing artist and performer, talented and creative songwriter and the son of Ruth Pointer, best known as the eldest member of the American R&B group The Pointer Sisters. The Pointer Sisters achieved mainstream success during the 1970s and 1980s and have a career spanning over three decades with a repertoire that has included such diverse genres as pop, disco, jazz, bebop, blues, soul, funk, dance, country and rock. Malik is known for his unique style, voice, and charisma, which create electrifying signature premium performances. Malik has been in multiple bands and performed at sold out venues like House of Blues, The Roxyband and The Viper Room.

Tru Collins:
Tru Collins an American actress and indie-pop singer. She has guest starred on Showtime’s Masters of Sex opposite Michael Sheen and recurred as Julie on MTV’s Awkward seasons 2 – 5. As a singer, she performed with Grammy-winning soul singer Latrice Varrett, opening for Aretha Franklin at the Nokia Theatre Times Square in 2009, and in 2010, Tru joined Atlantic’s multi-platinum progressive rock band Trans-Siberian Orchestra as a vocalist. That year, TSO reached #12 on the Billboard chart for American Arena Tours, beating Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber, and the tour grossed more than $47 million and sold out 51 arenas. She is an accomplished songwriter and her work has been featured on various recordings and television soundtracks. Her debut solo EP, Story of A Gypsy Child, was produced by Jonny on the Rocks from Toronto.

Aaron Turner:
Aaron Turner lives to perform and share his joy of dance with others. Aaron has extensively studied and taught various genres of dance, as well as worked on the Las Vegas strip in the Broadway presentation of Stomp Out Loud. After auditioning for the television show So You Think You Can Dance, Aaron went on to become the first tap dancer, in the show’s ten-year history, to join the top 20 and advance all the way to the finals. Aaron was also the first tapper to appear as a So You Think You Can Dance All-Star, dancing with two tap finalists the following year. Since his success on the show, Aaron has become one of the most sought after teachers and choreographers in the country. His credits include Nigel Lithgow’s Happy Feel Foundation, Excel In Motion, Cirque du Soleil Beatles Love and he is a Capezio Endorsed Athlete.

Week I of the Temecula Valley National Horse Show series will take place Apr. 18 – 22, followed by Week II May 23 – 27 and Week III May 30 – June 3. Make sure to mark your calendars to attend the newest and freshest horse show circuits in southern California!
