Phelps Media Group Announces Senior Leadership Promotions

Wellington, Fla. – May 12, 2021 – Phelps Media Group, the leading marketing and public relations agency in the competitive equestrian industry, is pleased to announce several important promotional changes within its senior-level management team. These changes are a reflection of a significant development in leadership capabilities and a thoughtful approach to growth in 2021 and beyond. Going forward, Phelps Media Group founder Mason Phelps has taken the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Lenore Phillips has been promoted to President, Julie Tannehill is now recognized as the Chief Operating Officer, and Annan Hepner will assume the position of Director of Strategic Initiatives.

Lenore Phillips, who previously held the title of Vice President, will be responsible for the high level operations of the company in her role as President. An employee of Phelps Media Group since 2016, Lenore has served in many key facets of the company and is passionate about business development. Her immediate goals are centered around leading the team at Phelps Media Group to exceed client expectations through a results driven, service oriented strategy and working with the most forward thinking brands and events in the competitive equestrian sports landscape.

As Chief Operating Officer, Julie Tannehill will continue to support Phelps Media Group through sound business practices and thoughtful fiscal strategies. Formerly the General Manager, Tannehill has been with PMG since its inception in 2007. Her roles include the execution of the PMG’s ongoing financial initiatives, client communication, and growth forecasting. Tannehill will continue to work closely with Phillips on ensuring the responsible growth of the company, ensuring its long-term viability.

Annan Hepner, an employee of Phelps Media Group since 2015 and the managing editor of PS Dressage, plays a crucial role in the company not only in leadership but also in staff development and implementing new workflow tactics. As the Director of Strategic Initiatives, Hepner will work closely with Phillips to ensure PMG offers its clients the most forward thinking and effective services available. She will also be directly responsible for creating a meaningful talent development pipeline through thoughtful hiring practices and internal growth opportunities for the team of talented employees.
