After an exciting evening of Pony Division classes, the Pony Grand Championship Final, sponsored by Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center, finished off the first day of Kingsview Partners Dressage at Devon. Taking home the Grand Championship was the 2024 Bay Welsh Cob Colt, Knightwynds Chiron (MHS Cool Jazz x Knightwynds Model T) handled by his owner and breeder, Rachel Laufer-Wengerd.

Laufer-Wengerd felt his impressive demeanor of the late-night show played a part in their victory.

She said, “He is just awesome. We’re probably going to keep him as a stallion. He’s super chill hanging out here, and he’s taken all of this in so well. He’s gotten better each time. I’ve been coming to [Dressage at] Devon for ten years, and he’s the first homebred pony I’ve brought.”
