Devon, Pennsylvania – May 22, 2026 – Equitation competition at the 2026 Devon Horse Show and Country Fair came to a close on Friday, May 22, as the nation’s top junior riders competed for the final three blue ribbons awarded in the ASPCA Maclay sections. With multiple standout performances, the race for the prestigious R.W. “Ronnie” Mutch Equitation Championship remained tight until the very end.
Tatum was also presented with the Hannah Micayla Serfass ‘Best Overall Performance Award’ in honor of the late Hannah Serfass.
Baylee Rowan of Little Rock, Rhode Island, received the William Cooney Jr. Style & Sportsmanship Award.
The final equitation honor of the 2026 Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, the prestigious R.W. “Ronnie” Mutch Equitation Championship, went to Parker Peacock after consistent top performances over two days of competition across Devon’s equitation divisions.
Heading into the final day of competition, Peacock’s strong results positioned her as a leading contender for the overall championship. On the first day of Devon’s equitation competitions, she captured a first-place finish in both the WIHS Equitation Classic – Jumper Phase and the Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, while also earning second place in Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Section B aboard Montverdi.
When asked how she felt heading into the ASPCA Maclay, Peacock said, “I was nervous, but excited. My horse was incredible yesterday, and I wanted to end with a bang the way it went yesterday. I am so glad it did!”
Peacock has partnered with Montverdi for approximately a year and a half and reflected on the connection they have developed together during that time.
“I would say we’re really close. I love this horse more than anything in the world. He’s really special to me, and I want to live up to him every single day.”
Winning her first championship title at Devon marked a meaningful milestone for the young rider, who has attended the historic horse show since childhood.
“I have been coming since I was a little kid, around seven years old, riding ponies. This is my first championship title, and I am so honored to be a champion here, and to add my name to the list of incredible riders that have been able to accomplish this.”
Now 18 years old, Peacock will continue her riding career at Auburn University as a member of the school’s equestrian team this fall.
